Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is determined to play in the Premier League next season, and he has held talks with Liverpool.

According to TBR football, Liverpool are interested in signing the 26-year-old striker, and they will face competition from Manchester United as well. The 26-year-old is one of the best strikers in the world, and he scored 37 goals in 41 games for Galatasaray during his loan last season.

There is no doubt that he would be an excellent acquisition for Liverpool and Manchester United. It remains to be seen which of the two clubs will come forward with an offer to sign him.

Osimhen has recently turned down an offer from Saudi Arabia.

He does not have a future at Napoli, and they will look to get rid of him permanently this summer. He has a £63 million release clause in his contract, and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool or Manchester United are prepared to pay up.

Liverpool need an upgrade on Darwin Nunez

It is no secret that Liverpool need a quality striker next season. Darwin Nunez managed to score just seven goals in all competitions last season, and Liverpool need an upgrade. They will be hoping to fight for trophies, and they need top-class players at their disposal.

Osimhen could prove to be an upgrade on the South American, and he would improve Liverpool going forward. The opportunity to join the Premier League champions will be quite exciting for him as well.

Manchester United have looked toothless in the attack as well, and they need a quality striker leading the line for them. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have been underwhelming, and Manchester United need better players if they want to bounce back strongly.

They finished in the bottom half last season, and they will get back into the Champions League soon.
