50 NBA players who could test free agency this summer ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
Only two teams remain in contention to win the 2025 NBA Championship. It means the rest of the league has already started planning how to improve for the 2025-26 season.
There are several ways to do that. Some teams rely on the NBA Draft while others use their assets to trade for stars. Another common way to improve is to take a quick look at free agency.
After all, a plethora of players test free agency every year in hopes of starting a new chapter in their careers. With that said, here are NBA Analysis Network’s top 50 free agents to keep an eye on this offseason.
This season, teams faced cut-throat competition in the Western Conference with three teams finishing the regular season with a 50-32 record.
As far as free agency is concerned, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James could become a free agent by opting out of his $52.6 million player option for the 2025-26 season.
Despite being 40 years old, James will remain a lucrative star to sign if he decides to test free agency. Following in James is none other than his former teammate and current member of the Dallas Mavericks, Kyrie Irving.
Similar to James, Kyrie also has a player option worth $43.9 million for next season. Considering Irving is set to miss the majority of the season due to an ACL injury, it will be interesting to see if he stays with the Mavs.
LA Clippers‘ James Harden could also enter free agency with the same route. Harden had a lackluster 2025 playoffs despite being a crucial player during the regular season.
