Manchester City are interested in signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that defending Premier League champions City are willing to pay as much as €150 million in transfer fees for Wirtz.

Wirtz is one of the best young players in Europe and has been superb for Bayer in recent years. The attacking midfielder has established himself as a key player in Xabi Alonso’s side, and his performances for the German club in the Bundesliga and in Europe have been hugely impressive.

The Germany international has scored four goals and given one assist in four Bundesliga matches for Bayer so far this season. Wirtz has scored two goals in one UEFA Champions League game so far this campaign. The 21-year-old scored 11 goals and gave 11 assists in the Bundesliga and scored four goals and provided four assists in the UEFA Europa League last season.
