Watch: Rohit Sharma caught sleeping in the slips; drops a sitter of Glenn Phillips

India captain Rohit Sharma is not through a great time with the bat and also on the field. While Rohit is going through a rough patch of form with the bat, his fielding in the last few matches hasn’t been up to the mark.

The Indian skipper dropped another simple catch on the third day of the second Test between India and New Zealand at Pune to give Glenn Phillips a lifeline. During the 55th over of New Zealand’s second innings, Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a length ball from around the wicket.

Ashwin cleverly slowed the ball down to beat Phillips’ defense. As a result, the ball took his outside edge and went to Rohit’s left. However, the Indian captain did not move at all and the ball went between him and Rishabh Pant to the boundary.

The ball wasn’t too far from Rohit Sharma and it was his catch. However, by the time he could realize anything, the ball had already gone past him. It was a shocker from someone who is a good catcher.
