After a bitter exit, James returned to the Cavs to win the NBA title in 2016, beating the Warriors in the finals.
And with the family having deep rooted connections in Cleveland, the Cavs made sure to pay significance to Bronny’s first ever points.
Bronny James left Ohio with the net from the basket he scored in, a piece of personal and NBA to keep forever.
It was a nice gesture to the young player, who is under an intense spotlight as he begins his NBA career, alongside his legendary father.
It was not enough to stop the Lakers losing 131-110 to the Cavs, who move to 5-0.
There has been speculation Bronny James could be sent to the G-League for his development over the coming weeks.
Former star Patrick Beverly has urged the Lakers to keep him on the team, arguing he has helped the vibe around LeBron James, simply by being there.
