NBA players usually follow a tight schedule to stay in shape throughout the year. However, even the toughest players can crack in front of a small yet innovative prank.

For example, the Hornets brought out LaMelo’s scared side on the surface after a silly prank. Ball was captured screaming and even punching a prop that looked like a joker.

The video captures Ball’s jump scare moment to perfection. Even after essentially destroying the clown, LaMelo took some time to regain his composure. In the clip, he decided to lay down on the stairs after being pranked by the clown.

One fan said: “With that scream he was truly scared.”

Another fan chimed in: “Someone should make a meme with this. This is hilarious.”

A fan joked about Ball’s previous ankle injury: “Surprised he didn’t roll an ankle.”

One fan was relieved there was no one inside the clown: “Glad they didn’t have an intern in there.”

But the scream remains the highlight of the video: “Can’t get over that scream LOL.”

All things considered, the Hornets really did a good job of scaring their star player. It’s will be hilarious to see if it becomes a recurring meme throughout the season because there is potential.
