NBA fans react as Miami Heat ‘intrigued’ in Anthony Edwards and two more top superstars

The Miami Heat have reached the NBA Championship finals in recent seasons but they are off the pace in 2024-25.

Early this season Miami Heat rank seventh in the Eastern Conference with a disappointing 3-5 record.

It led to basketball analyst Bill Simmons declaring their title window over, and suggesting they may be ready to make a panic trade to try and revive their season.

At the same time, the Heat have been linked with letting star player Jimmy Butler leave, as he is now 35-years-old, and no longer considered in the league’s top 25 superstars.

Back in 2010, the Miami Heat formed a super team when they acquired LeBron James to form a big three with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, who was recently honored with a statue.

Making their own super team in 2024 is not so easy, although that does not stop the Heat from dreaming.

According to NBA insider Brett Spiegel, the Heat have a list of players they are ‘intrigued by’, specifically Anthony Edwards, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and De’Aaron Fox.

While there is no immediate likelihood of any of these being traded, despite the Giannis rumors, the Heat have them on their wishlist, if any of them were to become available.

The Heat’s aspirations to land Anthony Edwards in particular caused a stir among fans on the internet, who made a mockery of the claims.

One fan wrote on X: “Yeah and I’m intrigued by Sydney Sweeney, Dua Lipa and Sabrina Carpenter…”

Another mocked: “No way the Heat are intrigued by some of the leagues best players.”

“I’m intrigued in become a billionaire,” another fan joked, with a fourth writing: “And I’m “intrigued by” hitting the Powerball tonight.”

Another fan wrote: “Fox and Ant make sense but Giannis doesn’t. Bam and Giannis is just a bizarre basketball fit.”

And another added: “Heat be wanting every superstar then dont wanna trade for them. Its every year we tired.”

The verdict is clear. Don’t expect any of these potential trades to happen anytime soon.
