Bam Adebayo says NBA fans ‘got to understand’ about one of the quietest dudes on the Miami Heat

It has been a hectic and disrupted month for the Miami Heat amid all the off court drama.

With Jimmy Butler’s trade demands casting a shadow over the Miami Heat, it has not been an easy few weeks for anybody on the team.

Jimmy Butler is currently suspended after missing a flight, even allegedly causing the team to be delayed on their way to Milwaukee.

The Heat lost to the Bucks 125-96, with the combination of Giannis and Dame simply too strong.

One of the changes to the Heat line-up saw Pelle Larsson come into the team for his first ever NBA career start.

However, it was not a great night, he scored just four points, with five rebounds.

Yet there was a big reason for this; he was called by the refs with three fouls in the opening two minutes, and he was sat to the bench.

Larsson ended up playing only 14 minutes.

Speaking after the game, Bam Adebayo praised Larsson’s aggressiveness, and said he felt he was officiated harshly.

Adebayo also said that Larsson is very different off court, to his physical nature on it.

He explained: “From day one. He’s one of the quietest dudes on the team. But you definitely know who Pelle is when he gets out there. He can be himself, play physical.

“Obviously the refs got involved tonight so he couldn’t be as physical as he wanted to, but you got to understand, when Pelle is on the court, you know who he is.”

Bam Adebayo has emerged as the Heat’s de-facto leader following Jimmy Butler’s continual clashes with Heat leadership.

Adebayo is telling the Heat stars to stay professional amid all the behind the scenes issues.

He has been particularly praising of rookie Kel’el Ware, who put up another 20 point performance in the loss to the Bucks.

If there’s one criticism, it’s that perhaps Adebayo himself could do more. While he wants to become the Heat’s all-time scoring leader, he put up just 12 against the Bucks.
