LeBron James approves of Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver’s celebration after Super Bowl touchdown

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl triumph included LeBron James’ iconic celebration after one of the many touchdowns on the night.

The 2025 NFL Super Bowl in New Orleans was between Eagles and Chiefs – who had also played each other in 2023 for the Lombardi trophy.

This also included NBA star James, who is an NFL fan and is often spotted playing Madden or watching games on his off days.

In what was a dominant 40-22 win for the Philadelphia Eagles, A.J. Brown pulled off a touchdown just before half-time to make things worse for the Chiefs.

After the touchdown, the 27-year-old decided to celebrate by doing LeBron James’ silencer celebration – which looked like a message to his opponents.

The LA Lakers star took to his Instagram story to approve the celebration and captioned it by saying, “Ayyyyyyyeeeeee AJ Brown, that Silencer was on point.”

LeBron loves his NFL – and is a well-known fan of the Cleveland Browns.

The Lakers star in the past has expressed his interest in switching to football and said it was close during the 2011 NBA lockout.

Speaking on NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce’s podcast – ‘New Heights’ James said: “I was still young enough to get out there with y’all. That’s the only time I’ve seriously considered it.

“I’ve had serious dreams about this s— all the time, and in my dream, the ball is never kicked off, It’s me in the warmups, it’s me coming out, running my routes and right when the game starts, I f—— wake up or some s—.

“That lets me know I’m not supposed to be out there.”

Entering year 22, James is still one of the hardest-working and best players in the NBA.

His 42-point performance against the Golden State Warriors made him only the second player since NBA legend Michael Jordan to have a 40-point game after turning 40.

He is averaging 24.5 PPG, 7.8 RPG and 9 APG all while helping the Lakers maintain a 31-19 record.

His exploits have helped him get into his 21st All-Star team, which is the most for any player in NBA history.

The 40-year-old has missed only six games this season and continues to assert his dominance with his athleticism for the Purple and Gold.

While the team have brought in Luka Doncic, James will continue to be a key player for the Lakers if they are to hang banner number 18 in the rafters.
