What Miami Heat did to Golden State Warriors was ‘unheard of’, claims Draymond Green

Draymond Green revealed Miami Heat did something ‘unheard of’ during their game against the Golden State Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors suffered a 112-86 defeat at the hand of Heat and fell to seventh position in the Western Conference standings.

Jimmy Butler was not able to make any impact in his first game back in Miami since his trade to the Warriors.

However, his former teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro led the way for the Miami Heat as they combined for 47 points on the night.

Erik Spoelstra’s men nailed 17-25 three pointers – which comes to 68% shooting, something Draymond Green believes is ‘unheard of’ in the NBA.

Heat played a great game overall as they contained the Warriors to 23.7% shooting from beyond the arc, but themselves shot well to win their second consecutive game after losing ten in a row.

Speaking about Heat on ‘The Draymond Green Show’ the Warriors forward said: ” I do think the environment was cool.

“It wasn’t one of the toughest environments, but what did not help is that they like turned into a bunch of Steph Curry’s out there, like they shot 18 for 25 from three, that’s unheard of.”

Draymond slightly over-estimated their success – but as stated, 17-25 was still an outstanding shooting night from three.

Heat fans welcomed their former player with boos and applause, which left Green confused.

He added: “At some point, you just got to appreciate what somebody’s given and just like, they move on and it is what it is, and saying that people aren’t always rational.

Green also shared a moment with his former teammate Andrew Wiggins after the game.

“Obviously I’m p____ of that we lost, it was a game we needed to win, but I’m also happy to see Wiggs play well.

“The love that’s there, that’s more than just a game,” said Green.

The Warriors now only have nine games left to play in their regular season and are seventh in the standings behind LA Clippers.

Although the two teams have similar record, the Clippers have off late been in great form and additionally James Harden is back playing some great basketball for them.

The Warriors have games against Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets in the coming days and these will be crucial to decide where the team finishes in the standings.

Steph Curry is expected to be back soon from his injury, but the Warriors will need Butler to take some load of his shoulder at least for a few games.

They have improved massively over the past two months, but it all comes down to how they finish the regular season as that would determine their matchup in the playoffs and ultimately help them in a push for the title.
