Bournemouth agree Truffert deal as Kerkez replacement

Bournemouth have reached an agreement to sign Adrien Truffert from Rennes, according to ESPN — a move that is expected to clear the path for Milos Kerkez to join Liverpool.

Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal worth around €45 million for Kerkez, who has also finalized personal terms with the newly crowned Premier League champions following a standout season.

The Hungarian international impressed during his breakout campaign on the south coast, contributing two goals and six assists across 38 Premier League appearances under Andoni Iraola.

Liverpool have been in the market for reinforcements at left-back, with concerns arising over the consistency of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas during the campaign. Furhermore, Robertson is reportedly a target for Atletico Madrid this summer.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth and Rennes completed the paperwork for Truffert’s €17 million move — including bonuses — on Saturday. The Frenchman, capped once at senior level and regarded as a key figure in France’s under-21 setup, was Bournemouth’s top target to replace Kerkez.

The 23-year-old will sign a five-year contract with the Cherries.
