‘2011 LeBron…’ NBA fans in agreement over Pascal Siakam after he forces Pacers and Thunder into Game 7

Pascal Siakam put up a Finals MVP performance to take the Indiana Pacers to a Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.

The Indiana Pacers have done the unthinkable. In a must-win Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Pacers did just that to take the NBA Finals to seven games for the first time since 2016.

Heading into tonight, there was some concern about Tyrese Haliburton. After sustaining an injury in Game 5, Haliburton was doubtful for this game.

Given the Pacers’ record without Haliburton, fans worried about their chances. But Haliburton did end up playing, contributing 14 points off the bench on limited minutes.

But once again, Pascal Siakam was the Pacers’ savior, putting up an incredible double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Fans were thrilled to see the former NBA champion parlay his experience to force a Game 7, with many expressing their desire to see him win Finals MVP.

NBA fans took to X to share their reactions to Pascal Siakam’s performance. One fan wrote, “Pascal Siakam just turned into 2011 LeBron, I’m sure.”

Another fan claimed, “Game 7 is about to be a movie.”

One fan likened Pascal Siakam to a WWE legend, noting, “Pascal Siakam brought that Undertaker energy to Game 6.”

While another fan already has awards engraved for the Cameroonian, saying, “Pascal Siakam Finals MVP sounds awesome.”

This didn’t prove to be a hot take, as a fan agreed, writing, “I think we can all agree Pascal Siakam is the Finals MVP if the Pacers win the championship.”

Few teams get the opportunity to play a Game 7 in the NBA Finals. After forcing the situation with the brilliant performance, the Indiana Pacers cannot get complacent.

Rick Carlisle must motivate his players correctly heading into the most important game of their careers. But the fact is that the Pacers will be confident about their chances.

They shocked the Thunder on their home court in Game 1, despite Siakam and Haliburton admitting they didn’t play well.

And in Game 5, the Pacers were on the verge of another road win, until Jalen Williams and the Thunder fought back courageously.

These games should remind the Pacers that the Thunder aren’t invulnerable, especially at home. Game 7 of the NBA Finals is set to be a brilliant display of basketball.
