In a moment full of confusion and chaos, strange yet bizarre scenes unfolded during the Eliminator clash of the Maharashtra Premier League 2025 (MPL 2025) between Kolhapur Tuskers and Raigad Royals on Friday (June 20) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
After scoring four runs in the first over, Raigad openers Vicky Ostwal and Siddesh Veer looked to settle in. Facing left-arm seamer Atman Pore, who came in as an Impact Player, Ostwal played a neat drive through covers and took off for a quick single.
However, while completing the run, both Ostwal and Veer were focused on the ball, completely ignoring their running lanes, and it led to a shocking head-on collision between the Raigad openers mid-pitch during the MPL 2025 Eliminator in Pune.

Veer was knocked to the ground, while Ostwal quickly recovered and tried to reach the non-striker’s end. At that moment, Kolhapur Tuskers wicketkeeper Vishant More sent the ball back to the bowler Atman Pore for what looked like an easy run-out chance.

But Pore fumbled the ball just as he approached the stumps, completely missing the run-out opportunity. Before the Kolhapur Tuskers fielders could react, Veer, who was still shaken, got back on his feet and tried to make it to the crease after the fielding mishap.
Kolhapur Tuskers captain Rahul Tripathi noticed the chance and sprinted in with the ball to finish the job. But he hurled the ball at the stumps from close range and missed again. To add salt to the Tuskers’ wounds, the ball deflected off and raced to the boundary, awarding five extra runs to the Royals.
Rahul Tripathi, visibly frustrated, lashed out at bowler Atman Pore for his costly mistake. But by then, the opportunity had slipped. Now, the video of this hilarious fielding mishap in the Maharashtra Premier League 2025 Eliminator is going viral across social media platforms.
