Kenzie Morrison, the son of legendary heavyweight champion Tommy “The Duke” Morrison, delivered an emphatic knockout in his bare-knuckle fighting debut at BKFC 76 on Saturday.
With more than 20 fights of pro boxing experience on his record, Morrison decided to make the transition into bare-knuckle fighting where he hoped to create his own legacy in the sport. His first fight went as well as could be expected with Morrison sticking behind a long jab early and then just overwhelming opponent Alex Davis with punches.
A final flurry saw Morrison unload a barrage of shots with Davis already staggered and he eventually crumbled to the canvas. The referee started to administer the mandatory 10 count but Davis made it clear he wasn’t getting up again and the fight was stopped.

The end came at just 1:03 in the opening round.
“I feel great,” Morrison said after his debut win. “It was an experience for me. I’m ready, BKFC, I’m here. I’m here and I’m excited about this and I hope you guys are excited about me.”
Morrison admitted that the punches definitely felt different without gloves but it’s something he’s going to get adjusted to as his bare-knuckle fighting career continues.
The real question now becomes if Morrison sticks around at heavyweight, which is where he spent his boxing career, or if he considers a new division after hitting the scales at just over 217 pounds on Friday.
Either way, BKFC has a new notable name added to the roster with Morrison getting an impressive win in his debut and move to 1-0 as a bare-knuckle fighter.
