With the NBA Summer League now over for most teams, all eyes will be on which players make the cut for training camp.
This includes the Golden State Warriors, as they missed out on qualifying for the semifinals of the 2025 NBA Summer League.
To be precise, the Dubs finished the campaign with a 3-2 record following an impressive 82-71 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Speaking of the win, the Warriors may have found a player who could earn a spot in their training camp – Chris Manon.
Even before the Las Vegas Summer League started, the Warriors had high hopes for the undrafted guard.
After all, Manon was hailed ‘game-changer’ by Dubs’ summer league coach Lainn Wilson. The 23-year-old had a terrific outing against the Toronto Raptors.
Following that breakout game, Manon continued his incredible form vs the Cavs. The unproven guard contributed 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in just 23 minutes of playing time.
Manon also had a +21 impact when he was on the floor. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg as he also put on an impressive performance on the defensive end.
It included registering 4 steals and 2 blocks while committing just 1 personal foul. To make things better, Manon shot 4-of-5 from the field alongside 8-of-10 from the free-throw line.
Manon took the traditional route by spending four years in the NCAA. However, he went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft.
While it was an underwhelming start, Manon has slowly but surely made a name for himself in the Summer League.
Keeping that in mind, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr should undoubtedly consider offering Manon a spot in training camp.
If he impresses there, then the Warriors can offer him a two-way deal. It will allow Manon to polish his game by spending time in the G League and occasionally playing in the NBA.
