AC Milan have identified Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as their primary target for next summer, according to TeamTalk, amid uncertainty over his future.
Everton, now under new ownership by The Friedkin Group, are entering a transformative period, with eight first-team players, including the 27-year-old Calvert-Lewin, approaching the end of their contracts next summer. While Everton have offered him an extension, he has yet to agree to terms.
As it stands, foreign clubs can initiate pre-contract discussions with Calvert-Lewin in January for a potential free transfer. AC Milan, led by Paulo Fonseca, view him as a key addition to increase competition for Tammy Abraham and Alvaro Morata, but they are only interested in a free transfer.
Although several clubs reportedly have an interest in the England international, Everton’s strengthened financial position under TFG could enable them to negotiate a better deal to retain him and avoid losing him for free. An improved contract offer is expected as part of this effort.
