Alex Caruso has heaped praise on an OKC Thunder player for his ‘unique ability’ off the bench.
The OKC Thunder showcased great resilience in Game 4 to bag a 111-104 win over the Indiana Pacers.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again showcased his brilliance as he scored 35 points on 50% shooting from the field, while Jalen Williams added 27 points.
Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton combined to score 38 points for the Indiana Pacers, but the team’s poor performance in the fourth quarter hampered their chance of taking a 3-1 lead in the series.
Bennedict Mathurin, who was heaped with praise for his Game 3 exploits, managed only eight points, but was relatively quiet as he took only two shots throughout the night.
The Thunder’s defense was active all game and one of the reasons behind this is how vocal everyone on the team was, including the bench.
Alexa Caruso, who was called as the ‘secret weapon’ of the Thunder, had another 20-point performance, gave the Thunder’s Jaylin Williams his flowers for contributing vocally off the bench.
Jaylin Williams did not play a minute in Game 4, but he made sure to help his team out by being vocal in huddles and letting them know what was happening on the court.
Alex Caruso shared that it was a ‘God-given’ ability and appreciated Williams’ presence.
“J-Will has a very, very unique ability to be vocal.
“That’s a God-given ability, something that comes naturally that I think he’s seen maybe a little bit from me, and definitely through Kenrich Williams, speaking up when there’s a time when guys need it,” said Caruso when talking about Williams.

The 22-year-old was also given a special shout out by his coach, who appreciated what he was doing in the huddles for the team.
“J-Will had an unbelievable voice in the huddle tonight,” said Daigneault.
Williams comes off the bench for the Thunder, but makes sure he creates an impact on both ends of the floor.
In the series against the Denver Nuggets, Williams did a great job of stopping Nikola Jokic.
Against the Pacers, both benches have had to do a phenomenal job as the teams are evenly matched.
Although he has not had a great deal of game time, Williams has been a professional in helping the team out vocally.
He steps up for the team when his time comes, which shows how vital he is to the young roster.
