Newcastle and Liverpool served up a thrilling contest at St. James Park on Wednesday, with Alexander Isak breaking the deadlock in favour of the hosts in the 35th minute, Curtis Jones equalizing for Liverpool in the 50th, Anthony Gordon restoring Newcastle’s lead in the 62nd, Mohamed Salah scoring in the 68th and 83rd to turn the game around, and Fabian Schaar eventually grabbing a late equalizer to set the final score at 3-3.
