Already announcing the arrival of Dutch ace Jeremie Frimpong last week, Liverpool have enjoyed a sensational start to the summer transfer window.
While England international Trent Alexander-Arnold might have completed a controversial move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, Arne Slot’s side are set to complete a real coup as Florian Wirtz’s arrival at Anfield appears imminent.
Storming their way to a history-making 20th domestic crown last month, Liverpool are already making a real case for why they are the favourite to defend their Premier League title next season.
However, although the Anfield hierarchy might be ready to break the bank this summer, it is no secret that the Reds are looking to push out some of their current crop and Caoimhin Kelleher’s departure to Brentford last week could start an exodus.
With what is already becoming a frantic summer behind the scenes at Anfield, we have taken a look at the Liverpool superstars who should be heading for the exit.
Darwin Nunez
While Darwin Nunez might have arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2022 for a reported potential fee of £85million, the Uruguayan international has struggled to deal with that hefty price tag.
Although it might have been speculated during the January transfer window that a bank-breaking Saudi switch could be on the cards, Nunez appears a certainty to finally clinch a permanent move away.
Drastically failing to hold down a regular spot since Slot’s arrival last summer, the 25-year-old is reportedly keen on securing a fresh start away from the red half of Merseyside.
Notching just five Premier League goals last season, Nunez also failed to record a single strike across any competition since returning from March’s international break.
With Slot desperate to bring in a new number nine this summer, the former Feyenoord boss has been openly critical of Nunez and they are actively trying to get his reported £140,00-per-week wages off their books.
🚨 The plan is clear since February and it hasn’t changed: Darwin Nunez, expected to leave Liverpool in the summer.
After offer turned down by the club in January from Al Nassr, all options will be considered in the upcoming months.

Cody Gakpo
Producing 10 Premier League goals last season and only finishing behind Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz in Liverpool’s goalscoring charts, many around Anfield will be nervous by Cody Gakpo’s long-term future.
Cementing his spot as a real fan favourite around the red half of Merseyside since arriving from PSV in December 2022, the Dutch international also featured regularly during Slot’s maiden campaign in charge.
Making 35 Premier League appearances and only missing a trio of top-flight games, Gakpo has gained a reputation for his versatility and Slot has been filled with praise for the 26-year-old.
However, with it suggested that Liverpool are going to have to easily break the £100million barrier in their pursuit of Wirtz, Gakpo could be seen as a way for the reigning Premier League champions to recoup some finances.
With it reported over the past week that Liverpool would be willing to let the 29-cap international leave if they receive an acceptable offer, Bayern Munich are keeping close tabs on proceedings.
🚨🔴 EXCL | FC Bayern are now also considering Cody #Gakpo in their search for a high-profile left winger!
The 26 y/o Dutchman is on the shortlist behind Kaoru Mitoma and Rafael Leao. There has already been contact regarding Gakpo – and still is. Max Eberl likes him.

Jarell Quansah
With Virgil van Dijk putting pen to paper on a bumper new deal last month and already watching Frimpong come through the Anfield doors, it appears that one of Liverpool’s academy graduate will be heading for the exit this summer.
While Jarell Quansah might have shown some real versatility this season, the 22-year-old only made 13 Premier League appearances this year and minutes next season will b incredibly hard to come by.
Left as an unused substitute as Liverpool signed off the 2024/25 campaign with a 1-1 stalemate at home against Crystal Palace last weekend, Quansah knows that regular first-team action is away from Anfield.
However, signing a new long-term deal just last year, the England U21 international is reportedly attracting plenty of interest from across the continent.
Alongside reports that the likes of Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and bitter local rivals Everton have all lodged their own interest, it has also been suggested that German giants Borussia Dortmund are also keeping tabs on proceedings.
🚨🔴 Understand several Bundesliga clubs and teams from England are showing interest in Jarell #Quansah!
