Anthony Edwards heaps praise on LeBron James’ effort in Game 3, ‘everything in his power…’

Anthony Edwards gave his flowers to LeBron James after the LA Lakers loss in Game 3 to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With Luka Doncic unwell due to a stomach bug, LeBron James stepped up with a big performance where he scored 38 on 13-21 shooting from the field and 5-9 from the three-point range.

Luka Doncic only scored 17 and looked off all night, James managed to step up in his absence, but had no help from anyone on the LA Lakers.

The duo were the only Laker players who scored in double figures , with the other starters only shooting 11-27 from the field.

The scored were tied at 103, but from thereon the Minnesota Timberwolves stepped their game, courtesy of Anthony Edwards who had some big shots down the stretch.

After helping the team take a 2-1 lead, Edwards lauded James for his big night in Game 3 for the Lakers.

Edwards praised James for three-point shooting display in Game 3 against the Timberwolves.

He looked extremely sharp and free flowing keeping the Lakers in the game.

Speaking on James, Edwards said: “He [LeBron James] was incredible, he was doing everything in his power to will them to a win. He was shooting it from Yucatan for sure, he was shooting it crazy.”

Edwards also recalled a stellar shot James made on him during the game.

“He caught one of them on transition and I was kind of closing out and I’m like, ‘Nah he not about to shoot this,’ and he launched, I’m not gonna lie it was fun to watch him like be competing on the day for sure,” added Edwards.

James came into the playoffs with the clouds of uncertainty lingering around him as he suffered an injury in the regular season game against the Houston Rockets.

This seemed to slow him down a bit in the first two games as he lacked efficiency on shooting and did not look as sharp as he did in Game 3 against the T-Wolves.

James had failed to score more than 21 in the first two games, but had 22 in the first half alone, which is an indication of how good he looked in Game 3.

Redick revealed James was moving better and healthier after his injury against the Rockets in the regular season.

He said: “He’s moving better, it seems like he is getting healthier by the day. It’s typically a one to two week injury and believe it’s been two weeks tonight from the Houston game, so clearly he’s moving better.”
