Anthony Edwards has had quite a tough season this year, despite playing at a high level all year. The Timberwolves guard has experienced quite an inconsistent season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On Wednesday night, the Timberwolves embarassingly blew a lead against the Milwaukee Bucks. Fans were not happy with the way the Timberwolves lost to the Bucks.
While CJ McCollum admitted that Anthony Edwards has improved as a shooter, the All-Star is always working on his game.
And his latest training exercise was inspired by Michael Jordan, allowing him to go off for 44 points against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Anthony Edwards made history last night, becoming the Minnesota Timberwolves star with the highest scoring performance against the Memphis Grizzlies with 44 points.
Speaking after the game, Edwards revealed how his trainer had made him watch and learn from Michael Jordan over the last few weeks.
“My trainer told me to black out tonight. I tried to do that. We’ll be watching – and I know people are going to love this – he sends me MJ vidoes everyday about blacking out.”
“I think MJ said something like ‘Why would I worry about a miss if I haven’t took [sic] the shot yet? He sends me stuff like that so I appreciate him.”

As Edwards remarked in his post-game comments, people will love that he is taking inspiration from Michael Jordan.
The two players are very similar. Both play at the shooting guard, and have some incredible highlight plays in their careers.
Many have compared Edwards to Jordan, especially when it comes to his mentality. Of course, the incredible athleticism also helps those comparisons.
Recently, Edwards even reached out to Michael Jordan for help on his game. However, Ant still isn’t embracing the comparisons to Jordan.
