Bam Adebayo kept his comments as simple as possible after beating the Warriors, but it speaks to his relationship with Jimmy Butler.
Bam Adebayo shined as the Miami Heat defeated the Golden State Warriors. The game was a must-watch affair as it marked Butler’s return to Miami after his acrimonious exit.
Adebayo dropped 27 points in the win against the Warriors. Considering Bam was looking forward to playing against Butler, this performance isn’t surprising.
Butler had a poor outing for the Warriors. But more noteworthy than his performance was Butler’s threat to Pat Riley before the game.
It appears Butler’s relationship with Riley wasn’t the only one that was strained after the exit. Adebayo’s post-game comments paint a sad picture of his dynamic with Jimmy.

Speaking after the Miami Heat’s win over the Golden State Warriors, Bam Adebayo had a unique outlook on his clash with Jimmy Butler.
The former All-Star didn’t care much about the duel he had with Butler. Rather, he was thrilled that the Heat got an all-important win.
“Like I said, I’m just glad we got the win. I don’t care about who we was playing against.
“It’s just one of those things where we need to rack up some wins.”
Clearly, Adebayo is paying no mind to Jimmy’s controversial exit and their relationship. For him, the approach to the game was strictly professional.

On perhaps the most high-profile night of his Golden State Warriors career, Jimmy Butler came up short. His performance on the night was a far cry from what fans have come to expect from him.
Butler had just 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Shooting 5-12 from the field, it’s clear that the lights at the Kaseya Center were too bright for Jimmy now that he was in opposition colors.
Draymond Green mentioned Jimmy Butler having some type of strategy for the Heat. Clearly, that did not come to pass on the night.
Butler is usually hard on himself after losses, as Steve Kerr recently revealed. So, hopefully, this is one of the few losses he and the Warriors have to endure between now and the end of the season.
