According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are interested in signing Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Hove Albion and the player has refused to rule out a move.
The 20-time English champions believe agreeing personal terms with the player shouldn’t be an issue, but they are also aware that striking a deal with Brighton will be a difficult task, as the Seagulls want to keep hold of the 21-year-old midfielder. The three years remaining on his contract put the south-coast club in a very strong position in that aspect.

Brighton signed Baleba from LOSC Lille in 2023 for a reported fee of €27million. Since then, he’s made a total of 77 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing two assists from his position as a defensive midfielder. He is also capable of deputizing as a centre-back, if need be.
