Chris Mullin has nothing but kind things to say about one Golden State Warriors star who has transformed his game.
The Golden State Warriors are in some excellent form right now. They just completed an incredible back-to-back slate of games, toppling the Lakers and Nuggets.
Warriors fans were thrilled to see their team’s outing, and are now dreaming of another championship. The stars seem to be aligning at the right time for their team.
Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry deserve a lot of the plaudits. Their play together has been brilliant, and the Warriors are 20-2 with the duo in the lineup.
But Draymond Green’s contributions cannot be ignored. Kendrick Perkins believes Draymond is the DPOY frontrunner.

In an interview with 95.7 The Game, Chris Mullin spoke about Draymond Green. The Warriors legend was absolutely astounded with the way he has been playing.
Mullin identified how Green works brilliantly at orchestrating the Warriors’ defense very well. If Green does things well, the opponents are not able to overcome his strategy.
“He’s phenomenal at calling out switches and directing the defense before something happens. He’ll squash things and it won’t show up because he already took care of it.”
Draymond Green has been playing some brilliant basketball, with him even redeeming one of his poorer performances this week with a triple-double.
Mullin added that he believes the Warriors have the edge over the Lakers in terms of depth
“To me, Steph and Jimmy pretty much equalize LeBron and Luka. Now, if you look at the rest of the Warriors roster vs. the Lakers roster, I’m taking the Warriors roster all day long.”

It would not be hyperbolic to say this is the best version of Draymond Green we have seen in years. The former All-Star has taken his game to another level this season.
He is putting up strong numbers, and is making a real case to be Defensive Player of the Year. Of course, in typical Draymond fashion, he invited a DPOY-race rival to step up his game.
Grizzlies interim coach Tuomas Iisalo compared Draymond Green to soccer legend Paolo Maldini for his defenisve prowess.
Any deep run the Warriors make in the playoffs will depend on Green’s defensive performances come post-season time.
