Sacramento Kings star Domantas Sabonis had a spectacular night in a big win over the Toronto Raptors.
Domantas Sabonis was drafted into the NBA in 2016, but lasted only one season on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
After being traded to the Indiana Pacers, Sabonis established himself as a genuine NBA star, before a big six-player trade in 2022 saw him land on the Sacramento Kings.
Sabonis is still a key player for the Kings, and in the first month of the 2024-25 NBA season, he put together one of the best games of his NBA career.
To go a step further – it was one of the best games any NBA player has put together since the 1970s.
Domantas Sabonis scored 17 points to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 122-107 win over the Toronto Raptors.
And the Lithuanian’s performance was about more than just the points he scored, it was how he did it.
- Triple double: 17 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists
- No turnovers
- No missed shots
- No missed free throws
The NBA described it as a ‘flawless night’, one which was historically efficient.
Sabonis was the first player since the 1977-78 season to produce a triple double with no turnovers and no missed shot attempts, demonstrating just how unique his feat was.

The Sacramento Kings move to 5-3 after their win. They are seventh in the Western Conference, sharing the same .625 record with four other teams.
The Toronto Raptors, the 2019 NBA champions, sit at a lowly 2-7 with their win percentage at .222. Only the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers have a worse record.
One of the Raptors’ two wins came against the Kings in overtime at the start of November, 131-128.
Sabonis produced a triple double that night too – but last night the Raptors had no answer for his scoring and efficiency.
