Draymond Green goes off on Stephen A. Smith for his comments on LeBron James, ‘who doesn’t think…’

LeBron James went up to the face of ESPN’s sports coverage – Stephen A. Smith to confront him on something he said about his son, Bronny James.

The incident happened just over a week ago, but is still one of the most discussed topics in the NBA.

Smith further discussed about the incident on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast and called the move by LeBron James weak.

SAS also revealed because of his comments on James’ son, many NBA players have stopped talking to him.

Many former players including Kevin Love have shared their opinions on the situation including, Draymond Green, who Smith has had a good relation with in the past.

The 35-year-old did not hold back and slammed the veteran journalist for what he said about James, who is one of his closest friends in the league.

Green is not the one to shy away from sharing his opinion about things happening around the league.

Smith mentioned Green as one of the players who had stopped talking to him after he spoke about Bronny, which is why the four-time NBA champion had to clear the air about the situation and show his support for James.

Speaking on ‘Draymond Green show with Baron Davis,’ he said: “To see him just going at this man as a father, this man said, ‘LeBron, you need to stop as a father, you need to stop,” what, huh.”

In his appearance on ESPN and Arenas’ podcast, Smith bought out a James tweet prior to Bronny getting drafted where the 40-year-old stated he thought his son was better than some of the current players in the NBA.

Green believes it was only an excuse for Smith to fire shots and said all parents thought their kids were special.

“You name me one parent who doesn’t think their kid is better than everybody that is a common thing for parents in sports, we all think our kid is better than what they are, that is the nature of the beast.

“My mamma thought I was better than what I was that is a nature of a parent in sports.

“But to go on TV and say you need to stop it as a father then he step to you about that and then say its weak on TV because the demeanour in person was like… but then on TV you go, that was bullshit, like come on man, so that’s why he said Draymond ain’t talking to me,” added Green.

James created history with his son Bronny by becoming the first father-son duo to play in the NBA as teammates.

As a 55th pick, Bronny has been on the spotlight constantly because of his father, but he has shown glimpses of what he can do on the court.

Bronny has been playing extremely well in the G-League and often shows out for the Lakers in the limited minutes he appears for them.

With Luka Doncic and James leading the side, the Lakers have a strong chance of winning a championship.

If they do that, James and Bronny will make history which would be tough to replicate as they will become the first father-son duo to win a championship as teammates.
