Draymond Green on the Shaquille O’Neal misconception that really annoys him, he’s his ‘favorite player of all time’

Draymond Green admits that Shaquille O’Neal is his favorite NBA player of all time.

Since 2015, the Golden State Warriors have won four NBA Championships in six trips to the finals.

Each Dubs squad was amazing in its own accord, but the 2017 roster with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green was unarguably the best.

Evidently, the ’17 Warriors have been compared to many all-time great teams, including the 2001 Los Angeles Lakers.

Shaquille O’Neal was a major reason behind the LA Lakers winning the three-peat under Phil Jackson. Even in 2001, O’Neal was viewed as arguably the most dominant player in the NBA.

However, over the years, many have tried to prove that the ’17 Warriors would have been able to stop the Diesel in his tracks.

“It’s very interesting because Shaquille O’Neal is my favorite player of all time. So it’s a little challenging for me to be like somebody is going to stop Shaq,” Green said.

“Quite honestly, I don’t think any of us could stop Shaq. But I do think we then pose some challenges on the other side for Shaq. You can’t just stand in the paint against us,” he added.

It takes a lot of self-awareness to admit O’Neal would have been unstoppable against the Warriors’ best version.

Despite proving his worth during his NBA career, many have called out Shaq’s legacy since retirement.

In the recent episode of the Draymond Green Show, the Warriors veteran cleared a major misconception about O’Neal.

“It actually ______ me off man when people don’t try to give Shaq the credit that he deserves and like don’t talk about Shaq in the light that Shaq is. He’s the most dominant player we have ever seen.”

O’Neal’s resume speaks for itself. He has won every major accolade that a player can dream of in the NBA, all while dominating opponents left and right.
