Arsenal’s busy summer continues as the Gunners have struck another hugely important deal by tying Ethan Nwaneri down to a new contract.

The England Under-21 international has shone since rising up from Arsenal’s academy into the first-team, and the club’s fans will be delighted to see that he’s staying.

A deal is basically all done, pending an official announcement, with the Telegraph claiming that it’s all been fully agreed and signed.

Nwaneri has committed to Arsenal for the next five years, according to the report, and it will certainly be exciting to witness his development from here after such a promising start at the Emirates Stadium.

One imagines Nwaneri will have had tempting options elsewhere, with CaughtOffside previously being informed that Chelsea were interested.

Still, there is also surely going to be a key role for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder in Mikel Arteta’s side after already getting a lot of playing time last season.

Nwaneri ended up playing 37 games and scoring a total of nine goals in all competitions, and never really looked out of place in big games in the Premier League and the Champions League.

Bukayo Saka and Myles Lewis-Skelly have also been big success stories of Arsenal’s academy, and Nwaneri is surely going to be the next.

Arsenal’s positive summer continues

Tying Nwaneri down to a new deal is another important bit of business by Arsenal this summer.

The north London giants have also managed to sort out new contracts for Lewis-Skelly and Gabriel Magalhaes in recent times.

On top of that, new signings Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga have all come in.

Talks are also still taking place for Arsenal to sign Viktor Gyokeres, as per Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel.
