Fans on Twitter reacted after India National Cricket Team batter Rinku Singh bagged a low score in the ongoing T20I against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The last game of the series between the teams is underway at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.
India have been asked to bat first in the ongoing game, but things haven’t been going in their court. They lost early wickets in the game as Sri Lanka National Cricket Team bowlers were all over the batters and left them under pressure.
With India losing early wickets, India promoted Rinku Singh up the order. However, the move didn’t work as the batter couldn’t set the stage on fire and was back in the hut without making any bigger contribution with the bat. He was dismissed by Maheesh Theekshana in the 4th over.
Mahesh Theekshana bowled a floated-up delivery full-on off-stump. Rinku Singh made room as he looked to loft it over the cover. The ball held up in the surface a touch and he was through his shot far too early. The ball was straight up in the air, and four fielders were converging in the mid-off region, but Pathirana called for it and took the easy catch.
Rinku Singh scored just 1 runs off 2 balls. With his wicket, India lost their third wicket and were left tottering at 14/3. The Kolkata Knight Riders batter of late has been struggling to get going in the T20Is and is failing to score big and live up to the expectations.
The ongoing series hasn’t been great for Rinku Singh. The batter got an opportunity to bat in the first game, but he couldn’t cash on that as he managed just 1 run in the game. He will now be heading home as he isn’t part of the ODI team.
