‘Get the hell away’… Kendrick Perkins tells talented Golden State Warriors star to leave after Game 4 loss

The Golden State Warriors are staring at potential elimination after losing a third successive game to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Now 3-1 down, the Golden State Warriors just did not have enough to really pose a threat to the Minnesota Timberwolves, without injured star player Stephen Curry.

The Timberwolves won 117-100 and now will look to close out the series at home.

Fresh off praise from Dwyane Wade, Jonathan Kuminga scored highest for the Warriors with 23 points, and without him, this defeat would have been a lot heavier.

Jonathan Kuminga has had an eventual month, overlooked by Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

An injury to Jimmy Butler provided an opportunity against the Houston Rockets, and after Stephen Curry was hit with a hamstring injury in Game 1 against Minnesota, Kuminga’s playing time has increased.

Speaking after his 30 point Game 3, Kendrick Perkins urged Steve Kerr to ‘never’ take Kuminga out of his rotation again.

Now with the Warriors on the verge of elimination, Perkins is taking a different tone, and urging Kuminga to reconsider his future.

Perkins blasted on X: “I hope Kuminga get the hell away from Steve Kerr. He’s not the Coach for this young talented and Athletic young Star.

“He really need an opportunity to spread his wings. Kerr really had this man outta of the rotation.”

Data provided relating to Jonathan Kuminga’s performance breaks down where he scored his 23 points, with 11 of them coming via the free throw line.

This determination to get to the basket shows the different element he brings to the Warriors, who have been forced to re-adjust without Curry’s elite long range shooting.

There was one notable absence from the stat-sheet, Kuminga failed to grab a single rebound.

With his athleticism and high activity inside the paint, Kuminga really should be contributing a lot more in this area, and it is something he must improve for the win-or-go-home Game 5.
