Latest Arsenal transfer rumours
Transfers in
Antonio Silva: Reports have claimed that Arsenal have made contact over the potential signing of Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva. He is thought to be rated at around £85m, which would be a record fee for a defender, while Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be interested.
Viktor Gyokeres: Silva isn’t the only Portugal-based player thought to be on Arteta’s shopping list. A striker could be high on the agenda for Arsenal this summer and Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres is among their targets in this position.
Reports claim that the Swedish striker is part of a long list of attacking options, with Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Ajax’s Brian Brobbey also being targeted.
Desire Doue: Rennes youngster Desire Doue has also caught the attention of Gunners scouts, with reports suggesting that the club has made contact with the 18-year-old’s representatives over a potential move from the Ligue 1 outfit. However, they could face competition for his signature from Manchester United.
Nico Williams: Athletic Club winger Nico Williams is also on the Gunners’ radar, and is thought to have a tantalising release clause of £43m – however, his wages could prove more of a problem.
Bruno Guimaraes: Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, once thought to be an Arsenal target prior to his move to Tyneside, remains on Arteta’s wishlist. Manchester City are also said to be in the running.
Ferdi Kadioglu: Fenerbahce starlet Ferdi Kadioglu is nearing talks with Arsenal, according to reports. The Gunners were thought to be interested in the versatile full-back in January, but more recent claims have suggested that progress could be made in negotiations as early as June.
Transfers out
Aaron Ramsdale: Reporter Charles Watts has claimed that Aaron Ramsdale is all but set to leave the Gunners this summer. The goalkeeper lost his starting place to David Raya early in the season and found opportunities limited at the Emirates Stadium last term. It isn’t clear what his next destination could be, but he recently appeared to pour cold water on a reported move to Newcastle.
Thomas Partey: Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has reportedly held talks over a switch to Turkish side Fenerbahce, though it is unclear at this stage whether the Super Lig giants will table a bid.
It is thought that presidential elections at the club later this month could determine the club’s approach to a potential transfer, but there appears to be a desire to talk to Arsenal over a possible deal.

Arsenal’s most expensive signings of all time
The Gunners have spent generously in recent years.
Arsenal 2023/24 transfers
The Gunners had a busy summer, signing four players for a combined total of just over £200m. Incomings such as Declan Rice have been an undoubted success so far, with the ex-West Ham United ace seamlessly slotting into the team and helping to spearhead another title charge.
The likes of Kai Havertz and David Raya took some warming to – among the supporters, at least – but they became critical components of Mikel Arteta’s plan to take Arsenal to the pinnacle of English football.
Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber was seriously injured on his debut back in August, but made his comeback on the final day against Everton.

Arsenal 2023/24 sales
As with their arrivals this term, most of their business was done in the summer. The most expensive departure was United States striker Folarin Balogun sealing a £35m move to Monaco, while the most high-profile exit was Granit Xhaka’s to Bayer Leverkusen.
Elsewhere, Matt Turner was sold after just a year in north London, while the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Ainsley Maitland-Niles left on free transfers.
January saw a raft of youth loanees depart on temporary deals, while goalkeeper Alex Runarsson departed on a free transfer to FC Copenhagen.
