After the enthralling second individual time trial of this year’s edition of the Giro d’Italia on Saturday, it is now time for the GC contenders to re-focus on the overall race ahead of the next rest day on Monday.
For Sunday’s intriguing day of racing, the riders will have to negotiate the 222km route from Manerba del Garda to Livigno (Mottolino) with climbs on Colle San Zeno, Passo del Mortirolo, Isolaccia-Valdidentro and Passo di Foscagno.
Can Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) continue his seemingly inevitable surge towards an eventual victory at this opening Grand Tour of the 2024 season? This could be a key day ahead of a rest and reset on Monday.
It may be tough for Pogacar, who came second with a sensational individual time trial on Saturday, to lift himself once more for this monster stage, but if anyone can it will be him.

How can I watch Stage 15 of the Giro d’Italia?
The UK coverage will be bookended by The Breakaway, presented by Orla Chennaoui, who has a string of esteemed guests joining her across the three weeks.
Usual suspects Dan Lloyd, Adam Blythe and 12-time Giro stage winner Robbie McEwen will return, with former Jumbo-Visma star Nathan van Hooydonck swooping in for the final week as Blythe resumes his duties on the motorbike in Italy.
Meanwhile, former road star Daniel Oss (Stages 10-14), two-time winner Alberto Contador (Stage 15) and Blythe (Stages 16-21) will be doing their thing on the back of a motorbike to bring fans closer to the action.
