“I hear” – Former Spurs employee delivers Bissouma transfer update

Speaking to Football Insider, former Tottenham scout Mick Brown has revealed that Yves Bissouma will be sold this summer due to not being in Postecoglou’s long-term plans. He also says the Lilywhites are already “working” on signing a new midfielder behind the scenes.

“I don’t think he fits in with what Postecoglou is trying to do and he’s not really going to be part of his plans in the long-term. They’ve got other options he prefers in that position, and I hear they’re going to look to sign somebody too.

“So I think they’ll be open to offers for him when the window opens and I can see him leaving the club. If Bissouma leaves, he’s going to need replacing, and the scouting department are already working on finding that player behind the scenes.”

While the identity of who Spurs could pursue remains anyone’s guess, Bissouma may be on his way out after making 34 appearances across all competitions this term. Ranking outside Tottenham’s top 20 Premier League performers, according to WhoScored, the Mali international is in need of a fresh start following three years in the capital.
