Jared McCain’s postgame locker room video shocked his veteran teammate.
With the Philadelphia 76ers winning back-to-back games for the first time this season, a ray of positivity has been injected into the players.
Paul George led the charge with a season-high 29 points vs. the Charlotte Hornets. Along with George, star rookie Jared McCain had another solid game.
Thanks to McCain’s 17-point performance, the 76ers were able to register a 110-104 win over a LaMelo Ball-less Charlotte Hornets.
On one hand, the 76ers have talented young stars in Jared McCain and Tyrese Maxey. But a team is never complete without elite veterans to guide the stars through the course of the season.
Thankfully, the 76ers have multiple veterans who can fulfill that role for the young players, including Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Kyle Lowry.
Speaking of Lowry, the 38-year-old’s recent reaction to McCain making a TikTok with him has gone viral.
McCain has a massive presence on social media, especially on TikTok, since his days as an NCAA player for the Duke Blue Devils.
During his rookie year, McCain has continued posting on his TikTok account. Fans anticipated 76ers players to be part of it at one point or the other, but seeing Lowry’s shocked reaction was certainly hilarious.
Considering he has been in the league for nearly two decades, it’s no surprise that there’s somewhat of a generation gap between Lowry and McCain.

The 76ers may have had a lackluster 2024-25 NBA season, but McCain’s growth has been the silver lining for the team.
The 20-year-old has shown great promise as he remains one of the favorites to win the Rookie of the Year award this season. However, the ex-Duke star’s growth would have stunted without great guidance.

Following the six-point win vs. the Hornets, McCain heaped huge praise on Lowry and other 76ers veterans for taking him under their wing.
“I think I’m going pretty well. Obviously Kyle, Tyrese, all of them have really taken me under their wing. Kyle specifically has been telling me a lot of great things I need to learn,” McCain said, via Jerry Donatien on X.
The 76ers have now improved to a 5-14 record, thanks to their two-game winning streak. However, whether it’s a fluke or not will be decided over their upcoming game vs. the Orlando Magic.
