Jason Kidd is completely perplexed by the current situation the Dallas Mavericks are facing and has no idea what to do.
Jason Kidd‘s job has become very difficult in the last month or so. The Dallas Mavericks have been a team in disarray.
It all started with the decision to trade Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis. While Luka is flying high with the Lakers, Davis got injured in his first game with the team.
The injuries continued, with other stars on the team going out. Kyrie Irving‘s injury was perhaps the most devastating, as he tore his ACL.
Rachel Nichols believes GM Nico Harrison should trade Anthony Davis this summer. But that won’t fix the problems right now, as the Mavericks are practically hemorrhaging players.

The Dallas Mavericks had two more players go down injured in their last game. Kessler Edwards and Dwight Powell collided with each other, forcing both to go out of the game.
While Edwards would return to the game with a bandage, the Mavericks would suffer another blow. Brandon Williams would leave the game with an injured hamstring.
This leaves the Mavericks with just seven available players. Their tallest player available is Naji Marshall, who is just 6’6.
With such a thin rotation for the foreseeable future, Jason Kidd’s job just became so much harder. And he has no idea what to do, as he himself admitted.

Speaking after the Mavericks’ loss to the Suns, Jason Kidd questioned what exactly he can do about the current Mavericks injury crisis.
He noted that he has never been in a position like this where he has no way to rest any of his players. Kidd is worried about the stress he’s putting his fit players under.
“I’ve never seen this… Where you can’t take someone out to rest them because we had no one to put in.”
Clearly, Kidd is coming to terms with the current predicament he is in. The Mavericks should have some of their injured players returning soon, but they will have to cope without them for a few games more.
We’ll see how Kidd adapts to the current situation. The problem right now is that playing his available players big minutes could also injure them. So, the Mavericks must be careful.
