Jeff Teague identifies player Houston Rockets traded who will get revenge ‘when he plays them’, it’s not Jalen Green

Jeff Teague believes the Houston Rockets traded a star who will get his revenge on them the next time they play against each other.

The Houston Rockets have had a transformational offseason. For the first time since the James Harden era, the Rockets are proper contenders again.

To start things off, the Rockets traded for Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns. It was a massive trade that kicked off the offseason in style.

The Rockets then signed Dorian Finney-Smith in free agency, stealing him away from the LA Lakers.

But in making room for these new signings, the Rockets had to clear up some space. Fred VanVleet took a pay cut to accommodate their new roster additions.

However, it was the multiple trades the Rockets made, including the Kevin Durant package, that did the trick. But Jeff Teague believes one of the players they moved will haunt them in the future.

Jeff Teague spoke on his podcast about the Houston Rockets’ future. He believes that Cam Whitmore, whom they sent to the Washington Wizards, will have a revenge game against them next season.

Whitmore will embrace the competitive nature of Ime Udoka and try to get the best possible performance against his old team.

“But you ain’t get traded for KD though.. Cam Whitmore got traded for cash, right? Second round pick or something.

“Nah, he’s gonna kill Houston when he plays them… I don’t know if Jalen Green is gonna kill them though. Ime [Udoka] be hype for s— like that. Oh, Ime, he’s competitive. He’d be hyped for s— like that.

“You see how he did Boston? Heard Kyrie talk about it. When he left Brooklyn and got to Boston, he had Brooklyn’s number. We got something for you, buddy.”

Cam Whitmore is getting a huge opportunity with the Washington Wizards. On the Rockets, Whitmore wasn’t going to be a starter.

But rather than being angry with the Rockets for trading him, he should be thankful. The Rockets sent Whitmore to the Wizards to guarantee he gets playing time.

Bill Simmons, in particular, backs Whitmore for great success, as he finally gets the chance to live up to his full potential. This was an opportunity he didn’t have on the Rockets.

Whitmore expressed excitement for the Wizards’ upcoming season, as he tries to make the best of this new opportunity.

Hopefully, after a difficult stint with the Rockets, Whitmore can be the player he always wanted to be.
