Kendrick Perkins gives brutal verdict on Milwaukee Bucks win, Brian Windhorst makes trade call revelation

Milwaukee Bucks have started the season poorly and look a long way from being contenders for the NBA title.

Milwaukee moved from 1-6 to 2-6 with a win over the Utah Jazz. The 123-100 victory was much-needed for a franchise with a head coach under pressure.

Ahead of their match-up with a similarly under-pressure Knicks, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins gave his verdict on the team’s victory.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 31 points in the victory, while Damian Lillard added 34 of his own.

After saying the pair lacked chemistry, Perkins put a negative slant on their scoring, asking why they needed such big numbers in the first place, against a 1-7 team.

Perkins told ESPN: “They beat the Utah Jazz, what do you want me to do, do some jumping jacks?

“It took a lot for them just to beat a lottery team. We know Utah Jazz are in the hunt for Cooper Flagg.

“Giannis and Dame had to put up the numbers just to get a win. At the end of the day I’m not impressed.”

In the same segment, NBA insider Brian Windhorst explained that the Milwaukee Bucks are desperately trying to get some help for Antetokounmpo and Lillard.

He explained: “We know they are scouring the trade market in November. As I was talking to teams this week, they were like ‘the Bucks just called’, they are just searching and trying to cover their bases.

“Giannis is not on the table, Dame is not on the table, they are just trying to help out on their wing play.”

He added that while the Bucks had proposed trades to teams, league rules often meant they cannot be done, especially as they have no first or second round draft picks to offer.

“I don’t think help is on the way through the trade market. But they are making calls, from what i could tell this week they are calling pretty much the whole league.”

You can’t argue with the Bucks’, desire to improve. But for now they may simply have to make do with what they have.
