Kevin Durant snapped at an NBA fan for his recent statement about two stars.
Over the decades, the playing style in the NBA has changed beyond recognition. The era of positionless basketball is well and truly in its full flow.
Thus, gone are the days when centers were expected to just stand in the paint and score or focus entirely on the defensive end of the board.
The likes of Kevin Durant and Victor Wembanyama have truly revolutionized basketball by flaunting their shooting abilities.
The league may have changed, but there are still a plethora of fans who believe that the old way of playing basketball is still elite.
Such fans have contributed to the gradual decline in the NBA’s ratings throughout the year. One such fan seemingly forced themselves to watch the New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs game.
While many hailed it as a modern-day classic, the fan refused to believe it.
“LOL, I just tuned into this game cuz everyone in my mentions is saying it’s a quality game. I see Wemby brick a contested 3 then KAT takes a deep 3 and hits it, then makes this face. 7 footers jacking up 3s & making faces. Back then they would dunk on each other and make faces,” the fan wrote on X.
Sure, a few decades ago it was impossible to imagine 7-footers knocking down a three-pointer, but times have changed.

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant has never minced his words on social media platforms. Evidently, when the nostalgic fan’s tweet reached his feed, he decided to furiously call them out on X.
“Nostalgia got this man in every wrestling move you can think of, we all wish we could be a kid again and experience life with no responsibilities, everything seemed better back then. Then u grow up,” Durant wrote.
Durant was seemingly in the mood to respond to a plethora of fans. When a fan pointed out that the NBA’s ratings continue to plummet due to increased three-point attempts, the Slim Reaper could only remind them to be “grateful” for the NBA’s existence.
Either way, such debates are expected to come in light more often until the NBA’s ratings climb again.
