Knicks star Guerschon Yabusele reveals true feelings about posterizing LeBron James at 2024 Olympics

Guerschon Yabusele had the entire arena on their feet with a monster slam on LeBron James in 2024.

Team USA was firing on all cylinders during the 2024 Paris Olympics. After all, the roster was full of talented NBA superstars.

The list included the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry. It was no surprise that Team USA reached the gold medal game without losing even a single matchup in the competition.

The final game of the Paris Olympics was played between Team USA and France. While France was the obvious underdog, one moment featuring Guerschon Yabusele injected the crowd with excitement.

Yes, it was none other than the moment when Yabusele dropped the hammer on James.

The incident took place during the second quarter of the game when Team USA held a 40-33 lead over France.

Yabusele’s dunk not only helped France cut down the lead to five points but also shifted the momentum towards his team, albeit momentarily.

As fans know, Team USA quickly recovered from this play and ultimately took home the gold medal with a 98-87 win.

Yabusele has made headlines this summer following his departure from the Philadelphia 76ers. The 29-year-old center joined the New York Knicks after revealing the 76ers’ low-ball offer for him.

After a move to the Knicks, Yabusele made an appearance on the Roommates Show with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. During the podcast, Yabusele discussed his popular dunk over the King.

“Being able to put that dunk also in the finals, and I remember everybody screaming. I was watching over there, my mom, my dad, they don’t really get a chance to see me play.

“So, being able to do all the stuff home, with them just watching me courtside, it was just a crazy feeling,” Yabusele admitted.

Considering James is arguably the GOAT, Yabusele will likely cherish that moment for as long as he is in the NBA.
