LA Lakers fans fume at Alex Len’s disastrous start for the team with 0-point performance, ‘looks like he’s never…’

With five games under his belt, LA Lakers fans have given a decisive verdict on Alex Len’s fit with the team.

After an eight-game winning streak, the Los Angeles Lakers find themselves in a slump while dealing with injuries to key members such as LeBron James and Rui Hachimura.

Sure, losing to the Boston Celtics was still understandable, but the Laker Nation didn’t expect a similar result against the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference, the Brooklyn Nets.

Speaking of the game, new Lakers center, Alex Len, became a punching bag for fans following another underwhelming performance in the iconic Purple and Gold jerseys.

Len earned his first start of the season with the Lakers in Jaxson Hayes’ absence against the Nets. He played just 13 minutes and finished the game with 0 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block.

It was Len’s fifth overall game for the organization, and Lakers fans think this is more than enough to pass judgment on the team’s last-minute signing after rescinding the Mark Williams trade.

“Alex Len looks like he’s never touched a basketball in his life.”

“Worse than a random LA Fitness player.”

“I didn’t understand when the Lakers signed him; the guy is terrible.”

“Alex Len is too clumsy with the basketball.”

“Alex Len is truly a non NBA player. He might be the least skilled player in the entire league.”

“Can’t defend, can’t rebound, can’t set screens, can’t score, what does Alex Len do?”

Many fans even urged the Lakers to let go of Len in favor of someone like Trey Jemison or Alex Koloko, as they are convinced that the 31-year-old is not fit for the iconic franchise.

The only reason the Lakers even signed Len was because of the canceled Mark Williams trade. Sure, there were injury concerns around the Charlotte Hornets‘ big man, but he could have certainly impacted the game better than Len.

So far, Len has played five games for the Lakers, starting just one. In those matchups, he has averaged an underwhelming 0.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.

On top of that, since his arrival in L.A., the Lakers are 0-3 in games where the former NBA lottery pick has played in non-garbage minutes.

In fact, the Lakers have lost to teams with a combined 52-139 record in that stretch. On the contrary, the 17-time NBA champs are 7-1 in games where Len doesn’t play or only plays in garbage time.
