LA Lakers fans have got a lot to say after LeBron James’ return, spotted impressive signs with his performance

LeBron James played his first NBA game for the Los Angeles Lakers after a nine-day absence.

The last 10 days or so have been incredibly stressful for the LA Lakers fanbase due to LeBron James‘ unexpected absence.

Even Lakers head coach JJ Redick was clueless when asked about the soon-to-be 40-year-old’s sudden departure.

Many speculated whether James had given up on his NBA career and would announce a shocking retirement update. Fortunately, all speculations were put to rest on Sunday night.

LBJ returned to the team for the Memphis Grizzlies matchup after missing the Lakers’ last two games against the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

James put up 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists in a stellar performance vs. the second seed in the Western Conference.

The 4x NBA MVP was well-rested and proved it early in the game with an exceptional play featuring a monster dunk and trademark chase-down block.

The Laker Nation rejoiced after seeing their star forward’s return to the court.

One fan wrote: “HE’S 40 BRO.”

Another added: “LeBron played tonight…18 points.. thank you @KingJames for not quitting basketball.”

A fan announced James’ comeback: “KING IS BACK.”

And a fourth wrote: “LeBron is still a force to be reckoned with when he’s really bringing it.”

More fans appreciated James’ greatness.

“Work rate is on another level,” one wrote, with a second adding: “Biggest W of the season against a red hot Grizz…the LeBron effect.”

One more added: “Lakers with healthy LeBron are a serious team… let him rest and coast into the play-in then bring him back.”

All things considered, the fanbase has been injected with new life following the King’s comeback. It could be signs of a mid-season comeback as the Lakers are now 14-12 for the season.

Keeping the Lakers’ recent poor form in mind, fans had low expectations, especially while facing the second seed in the Western Conference.

However, propelled by Anthony Davis‘ 40-point double-double alongside James and Austin Reaves‘ contributions, they were enough to overpower the Grizzles.

But the key is to build on this dominant victory. After all, the Lakers have had several one-off wins this season as they have struggled to put up consecutive dubs in the win column.

With the Lakers facing multiple high-caliber teams in their next five games, it should serve as an excellent test for the organization.
