LA Lakers fans love what Luka Doncic did in first practice post All-Star break, ‘vibes are good’

Luka Doncic looks in great touch following a much-needed break post the shocking trade to the LA Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers are gearing up for their first game since the NBA All-Star break. They will host the Charlotte Hornets at the Crypto.com Arena.

A huge crowd is expected for the matchup as it will be Luka Doncic’s third game with the team. Moreover, with an extended break under his belt, Doncic is expected to finally show his true potential to the crowd.

On top of that, Doncic has spent some extra time with his new teammates and head coach, which should further help him in settling in LA.

Doncic and the rest of the Lakers roster were back on the hardwood for the first time since the NBA All-Star break to prepare for the Hornets game.

Speaking of which, NBA reporter Mike Trudell posted a clip of the practice session. In the clip, the players took part in a post-practice half-court shot contest.

Doncic emerged victorious, which sent a wave of happiness through the Laker Nation, many of who reacted to the video with comments.

“Vibes are immaculate.”

“Why does he look skinnier already.”

“Luka is in better shape.”

“We just ignore the casual off-the-backboard windmill by DK?”

“Bro look at the shots Luka is hitting lmao WTF!?”

“He looks a lot skinnier.”

The biggest takeaway from the video was that Doncic looked in much better shape than when he was traded to the Lakers.

Keeping that in mind, the Laker Nation is in for a treat for the remainder of the regular season. After all, a healthy Doncic and LeBron James duo is hard to stop.

While it may feel like Doncic is making his team debut against the Hornets, he has already played two games in the iconic Purple and Gold jersey.

The 25-year-old somewhat struggled as he put up 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. But with his minutes restriction like coming off, he should put up much better numbers against the Hornets.

It could also come without LeBron James, who is nursing an injury that kept him out of the All-Star game.

The Lakers are currently the fifth seed in the Western Conference and will look to further improve their 32-20 record vs. Charlotte.
