LeBron and Bronny James ‘will never’ replicate something Scottie Pippen Sr. and Jr. have achieved, claims ex-NBA player

LeBron and Bronny James ‘will never’ achieve something in the NBA which Scottie Pippen Sr. and Jr. have already, an ex-NBA player has claimed.

While LeBron continues to dominate the NBA in his 22nd season, Bronny is playing for the South Bay Lakers in the G League.

The 55th pick in the 2024 Draft still needs to develop plenty before he can become a regular part of JJ Redicks’ Los Angeles Lakers rotation.

Meanwhile, Scottie Pippen Jr, son of the Chicago Bulls legend, is thriving with the Memphis Grizzlies in his third season.

The Lakers signed Pippen Jr. as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He played just six games for the Purple and Gold and averaged 2.3 points.

He was picked up by the Grizzlies last year and immediately brought something to the team. He scored almost 13 points per game across 21 games.

This season, the 24-year-old is averaging around 12 points, four rebounds and six assists and had a particularly good game against the Washington Wizards.

Pippen Jr. registered the first triple-double (11 pts, 10 reb, 11 ast) of his career but there was something extra special about it.

He and his father became the only father-son duo in NBA history to each have triple-doubles. Pippen Sr. had 17 in his Hall of Fame career.

LeBron and Bronny James already have one record: the only father-son duo to play in the same NBA game.

And, if Bronny develops into at least a rotation player in the next few seasons, they will surely set a number of other records.

But former NBA point guard Jeff Teague is counting them out of replicating what Pippen Sr. and Jr. achieved last week.

“Bronny and Bron will never,” Jeff Teague said on the Club 520 Podcast. His co-host B Hen then replied: “Yeah, they will, Bronny going to get it in that little arena.” “South Bay,” Teague added.
