LeBron James called out over NBA All-Star snub, ex-player makes Bronny James point

LeBron James’ shocking last-minute NBA All-Star game decision made ex-NBA player call out his integrity.

The 2025 NBA All-Star game was far from a great product despite a new format being introduced by the league.

However, the major attention shifted to LeBron James when he made a last-minute decision to skip the All-Star festivities.

James stated that his sore ankle played a role in deciding to sit out, but former NBA player Chandler Parsons shared a different opinion.

If James had been healthy, he would have been a part of Shaq’s OGs. That would lead to James playing in a game against the Rising Stars team.

Parsons thinks James decided to sit out of the game to avoid that matchup, speaking to Run It Back.

“Here’s the problem I have with LeBron James not wanting to play against Rising Stars. All these other NBA players have to play against his son because LeBron has put him in that situation as a rising star,” Parsons said, via Run It Back.

“What’s the difference now? He doesn’t want to play against the young guys?” he questioned.

Many believe that James forced the LA Lakers to draft his eldest son with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Despite Bronny slowly turning out to be a decent player for a second-round pick, Parsons simply cannot ignore James deciding to sit out the game against the Rising Stars team.

Since the surprising announcement, James has faced his fair share of criticism from NBA fans and media alike.

Some have called him out for essentially ruining a chance for another player to replace him at the ASG, while others have claimed the likes of Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant would have never done this.

However, Parsons’ co-host Lou Williams had a different take on the situation.

“He has a different standard to everybody else. I can appreciate the fact he even showed up to this. Michael Jordan wouldn’t have shown up, Kobe Bryant wouldn’t have shown up,” Williams said.

To which, Parsons simply asked, “Would he have played if they put Bronny James in the game?”

Well, it’s one question that can be left for debate since James Jr. was invited to the competition but he turned that down.
