According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Liverpool and Arsenal are currently leading the race for Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen.
There is a release clause in the contract of the 20-year-old centre-back set at £50million, which puts him well within reach of both of the Premier League top two, as well as Real Madrid who are believed to be interested too.
Bayern Munich like his quality as well, but in order to secure the necessary funds, the Bundesliga champions would need to complete a few sales first and have therefore turned their focus on Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen, soon to be a free agent.
But regardless of any intentions of Real and Bayern, Huijsen is expected to choose between Liverpool and Arsenal, and his decision is expected to come soon.
This season, Huijsen has made 30 Premier League appearances for Andoni Iraola’s formidable side, 25 as a starter. Standing around 6’6” tall, he’s a significant presence at set-pieces at both ends of the pitch and has found the back of the opposition net three times for the Cherries.

Real Madrid remain keen on him.
A move to Bayern appears unlikely at this stage, as time is not on their side. To sign Huijsen, Bayern would need to… pic.twitter.com/qtJyJblcij
