Luka Doncic on how ‘unbelievable’ LeBron James leaves him lost for words after latest big record

Luka Doncic couldn’t help but be in awe of his teammate, as LeBron James continued his history-making ways.

The Los Angeles Lakers trounced the New Orleans Pelicans in their last home game for a while. The pairing of LeBron James and Luka Doncic was once again unstoppable.

Luka had 30 points, 15 assists, and eight rebounds in the big win. Whereas LeBron James delivered 34 points, eight rebounds, and six assists on the night.

Pairing two of the biggest offensive weapons in the NBA is something few executives are able to do. Even Kevin Garnett believes LeBron becoming the second option behind Luka Doncic is very dangerous.

And tonight, Doncic had a first-row seat to watch his teammate James set yet another impressive record. Speaking after the game, Luka tried to reflect on the accolade.

Luka Doncic was asked by reporters to reflect on LeBron James’ monumental 50,000+ points scored in his career. Rightfully so, Doncic had no word to describe just how LeBron had been.

He joked that LeBron still has a lot left in the tank, and could realistically score 70,000 total points before he ends his career.

“It’s amazing to watch him do his stuff. It’s just unbelievable. 50,000 points, I can’t even explain how insane that is. He might get to 70,000, you never know.”

Luka kept his answers short and brief, not being able to find the right words to describe just how incredible the achievement from LeBron James was.

After what was an admittedly rough start to life as a Los Angeles Lakers, Luka Doncic seems to be finding his groove with the team.

Even JJ Redick agrees that Luka is adapting well to the team. Since playing his first game for the Lakers, Doncic is averaging 22.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists.

Expect Doncic’s scoring numbers to go up exponentially as he gets more games under his belt. And considering that he doesn’t need to shoulder the defensive load as much now, he can explode on any given night.
