Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to show why is among the NBA’s most special players after a thrilling NBA Cup.
After a rough start, the Milwaukee Bucks (14-11) are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks are in fifth place of the East after starting the season with an overall record of 4-9.
Milwaukee is 11-2 in its last 13 games played, that’s thanks to the dominating play from Giannis Antetokounmpo. On December 17, Antetokounmpo’s dominating performance this season led the Bucks to a 97-81 win over the Oklahoma Thunder.
The way he is playing, Antetokounmpo is in line for league MVP and hopes to win his second title. It is has left many like Channing Frye asking if can continue to dominate.

Antetokounmpo is playing at an elite level this season, and the biggest question is whether he can keep this level of dominance up. It is a query that former NBA player and Road Trippin’ host Channing Frye asked fellow host Allie Clifton and guest Kendrick Perkins.
He asked: “Is that sustainable for him to have that ‘losing is not an option’ attitude for 82 games?”
“Right now, yes, everyone wants to win to put that much output every single (game), he is by far and away the most physically dominating player in the NBA. Every single game, he’s ______ people up. If you guys actually watch, watch him, he offensive fouls eight to 12 times a game and they’re egregious, but the referees cannot call it because it would slow the game down even more.
“He makes you make a choice, it’s your face or two points. He’s gonna elbow you the ____ out of your face or you gonna give him two points. When does the big elbow move, that’s an offensive foul every time and he has _____ so many people up that they’re just like ‘nah, it ain’t worth it today.’”
“But the question I’m asking you two is, can he sustain that intensity for 82 games and the second part of that is, if he does, where does that move him?
“If he can sustain this level of elite physicality of ‘I don’t shoot no threes and I’m physically stronger than you and you ain’t going to do nothing about it.”
At 30 years old, Antetokounmpo isn’t going to have a lot of dominant seasons left. There is some point where we start seeing greats like him start to slow down.
So far, with 23 games played this season, Antetokounmpo has shown no signs of slowing down. Antetokounmpo is scoring an average of 32.7 points per game shooting a field-goal percentage of 61.4%. He is also averaging 11.5 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.6 blocks.
These past 13 games for the Bucks have been something special as Antetokounmpo has played unbelievably dominant.
He has missed only two games in those 13 games. Antetokounmpo has scored an average of 33.1 points shooting a field-goal percentage of 62.3%. He also averaged 10.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.7 blocks per game.
