NBA fans all in agreement as Anthony Edwards battles injury to help Timberwolves win Game 2, ‘that’s so tough…’

The Minnesota Timberwolves were able to secure the win despite Anthony Edwards sustaining an ankle injury.

The Minnesota Timberwolves battled back in their second-round series to win Game 2. They now tie the Golden State Warriors with one game apiece.

Anthony Edwards earned a lot of criticism after his Game 1 performance. Chris Finch outright blamed his lack of leadership for the loss.

Charles Barkley also went off on Edwards for not backing up his talk. Whereas Chris Broussard blamed Edwards for not taking Game 1 seriously enough to get the win.

Edwards shut up critics tonight by dropping 20 points in the win, and even battling what looked like a pretty serious ankle injury to get the win.

Several fans took to social media to praise Edwards for returning to the game despite being in a lot of pain after the injury.

One fan simply wrote, “No surprise to those of us who have watched him for the past five years!” While another fan claimed, “Nothing is stopping this man.”

A Timberwolves fan was very impressed with his star player, writing, “That’s so tough, Anthony Edwards.”

Another Timberwolves fan reminded everyone of Edwards’ healing powers, noting, “This is every Anthony Edwards injury and I hope it never changes.”

One fan believes Edwards has begun to understand the Warriors, claiming, “Anthony Edwards is starting to figure the Warriors defense out. Looks like he has his joy back.”

But one fan wants him to be even better, writing, “Anthony Edwards isn’t going off, but he’s still putting up numbers. I need bro to take over the rest of the series, ankle and all.

The Minnesota Timberwolves looked out of sorts in Game 1, as they lost to the Warriors despite Stephen Curry sustaining a serious injury. Luckily, Anthony Edwards didn’t suffer the same fate in Game 2.

Now, as they travel to San Francisco for Games 3 and 4, they will want to steal at least one game on the Warriors’ floor.

Failing to do so will put Edwards and the Timberwolves in too deep a hole to climb out of for the rest of the series. And playing against a gritty and experienced Warriors team, you don’t want that.

If the Warriors are able to protect home court—which is a big ‘if’ given Stephen Curry‘s injury status—then they will be deemed the favorites to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
