Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker flaunted his baseball skills amid the long offseason.
Devin Booker is among a handful of NBA stars who have spent their entire career with the same organization.
For Booker, that franchise is the Phoenix Suns. However, even after giving it his all for a decade, the Suns are no closer to winning an NBA title than they were when Booker was drafted in 2015.
With the Suns failing to qualify for the postseason, Booker is using his free time to focus on things other than basketball.
The 4x NBA All-Star recently went viral when the MLB’s official X handle posted a clip where Booker was seen playing baseball.
To be honest, the Suns star played well as he hit the ball far away in the video. However, for NBA fans, it wasn’t the topic of discussion.
NBA fans focused on Booker’s outfit as he was wearing extremely long shorts in the now-viral video.
One fan wrote: “Extra long jorts is crazy.” While another questioned: “What is he wearing?”
“Is it impossible to wear a normal T-shirt and shorts?” a fan questioned.
“Why can’t NBA players dress themselves?” one frustrated NBA fan wondered.
A fan joked: “Those pants are confused on what they are.”
Aside from the obvious outfit jokes, a few fans also wondered if Booker would follow in Michael Jordan’s footsteps and try his luck in baseball.
But jokes aside, there has been some chatter in the rumor mill about Booker’s future with the Suns after spending 10 seasons with the organization.
Sports analyst Rachel Nichols went as far as saying Booker should forget loyalty and demand a trade away from Phoenix.
Considering he’s still only 28 years old, D-Book could help a team become a championship contender. A trade to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Cooper Flagg is one option.
But so far, Booker hasn’t dropped any hints about his future with the Suns. So, the fanbase should expect their superstar to stay in Phoenix, at least for now.
