NBA fans disagree with Devin Booker’s resurfaced comments on All-Star selection amid 2025 snub

The 2025 NBA All-Star reserves are out and Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker believes he was snubbed from the list.

With the NBA all set to try out a new format for the 2025 All-Star game, there is a lot of buzz around the competition.

Evidently, fans were keen to know the participants of this year’s competition. While many fan favorites made the list, a few missed out.

While the likes of LaMelo Ball and Trae Young remain the biggest snubs of the year, Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker once said he consistently deserves the same level of recognition.

The 2025 Western Conference NBA All-Star reserves were recently revealed and Booker’s name was missing from the list.

Amid the Suns star’s snub, his old comments have now resurfaced on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“It was a goal of mine, but this just re-proves the point of the NBA is different than the NBA I fell in love with. All the best players made the All-Star game, and now it’s an entertainment, drama, political league,” Booker said.

Upon re-hearing D-Book’s comments, a plethora of fans were strongly against it.

“You’re not an All-Star Book plain and simple, dawg.”

“Just tell us you ain’t getting that All-Star game bonus.”

One fan suggested that Booker is simply not good enough: “He doesn’t deserve it this year at all, he’s not as good as he thinks he is anymore, the gap has closed.”

Another added: “How about winning some playoff series??”

A few fans noted that the clip is likely from 2021.

“Damn, bro got snubbed so crazy that Ayton and Cam Johnson came back.”

“This is old lol Deandre Ayton in the background.”

Regardless of whether the clip is from 2021 or 2025, it’s fair to assume Booker is unhappy over his snub while his teammate Kevin Durant was named one of the starters.

As far as the Suns’ performance is concerned, they have been subpar this season. After all, they are still the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 24-22 record.

While Booker has averaged 25.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game in 41 matchups, the Suns’s poor record seemingly killed off his chances of earning the fifth NBA All-Star selection of his career.

Although the All-Star selections should be purely based on individual accomplishments, the coaches and media votes can, at times, swing the votes.
